Kia ora!

Well… summer looks like it might officially be over.

It’s still sunny, but that wind is cold. I made the mistake of going out without a jacket a few days ago for dinner and instantly regretted it. We’re officially in that awkward phase where it looks like summer but feels like winter.

At least the storms haven’t rolled in yet. Let’s hope flu season stays away a little longer.

Also, thank you to everyone who’s shared feedback on The Bagel recently. It’s much appreciated and helps improve the newsletter. I’ve added some photos for a few events in this issue as some requested and made a couple of other small tweaks as well.

The Bagel issues keep getting longer and longer as the weeks go on. Do you like it or prefer it shorter like usual? Let me know!

Enjoy this week’s issue 🥯

👀 Did you know? 👀

A Japanese soldier kept fighting for 29 years after WWII ended.

It sounds fake but it isn’t. He was sent to a remote island in 1944 and refused to believe the war had ended in 1945. He stayed in the jungle for nearly three decades, still convinced WWII was ongoing.
